In 1379 a capitation or poll tax was imposed by Parliament, ranging from 4d. to £6.13s.4d. per head. The following year this increased to 12d. per head on every person above 15 years. The names of the inhabitants, except children, were entered by the poll tax collectors, from which the following lists are extracted.RASTERIK 4d each
