Assessment of Lightcliffe 1590

This assessment was made in or about the year 1590, probably for the repair of Lightcliffe Chapel, and gives the names of every family residing here.

Spellings are as per source, i.e. J Horsfall Turner's "History of Brighouse, Rastrick & Hipperholme" published 1893. The amounts assessed are in pounds, shillings and pence, and for those who don't remember:

12d. = 1 shilling [s.]
20s. = £1
240 old pence [d.] = £1

[The figures are in roman numerals, the "j" being the last "i", e.g. iiij = 4]
