Mary Allen has "Chronicles and Stories of Bingley and District"
"a model parish history and guide" written in 1902 by Harry Speight.
The inside cover says," A full account of the history, antiquities, scenery,
trade, customs, folk-lore, etc., of the ancient town and parish of Bingley in
the West Riding of Yorkshire". There are almost 400 pages with 100
illustrations, a subscription index, a general index and many, many
advertisements (almost as interesting as the book itself).
