Navigation of this book on the CD rom is enhanced by the use of "Active Links" on the contents page, and the whole of the book is machine searchable.

This book contains historical and literary "rambles" describing the history of the area between Hipperholme and Tong. It contains some 522 pages and includes over 110 photographs plus numerous line drawings. There is an index page in the original book but this is really a contents page and this is given below. The area covered by the book is considerably more than would be imagined from the title - please see the contents/index below.

Some comments about the CDrom/book from a customer:

Just to let you know that I am really enjoying the C.D. "Hipperholme to
Tong"  which I purchased from you in January.  The fact that it is machine
searchable is a real bonus as it is so easy to look up the names of my
ancestors, places they lived etc. without going through the whole book and
making notes on which pages are relevant.

The script is easy to read and the pictures are clear  -  in fact it is a
joy to look at.   I keep dipping into it as new facts about my ancestors
come to light, so I imagine that I will find it very useful for a long
time to come.

I would recommend it to anyone who had an interest in, or who had
relatives living in that area of Yorkshire in the 18th and 19th centuries.

Regards

Jess Wild (Feb 2005).
